As a supported client, one of the services provided by Pyranet is the monitoring of essential services such as server uptime. Between Christmas and New Year, we were alerted to a drop in service from Cushion Print’s server. The technical team called and established that the server functions had indeed dropped.
After diagnosing the issue, we established that the server had become unresponsive and dispatched an engineer to site to take a more detailed look. A critical part of the server hardware had failed and needed replacing.
As a valued client of Pyranet, Cushion Print are protected by our fully managed support services. Our service level agreements mean that in the event of a critical issue effecting the business we endeavour to do everything we can to get them back up and running as quickly as possible.
In this instance, we were able to utilise their advanced disaster recovery software and a loan server provided as part of the contract agreement to get them back up and running the same day. We were then able to take the faulty server away and carry out the repair whilst Cushion Print continued to work.
Due to the efficient and immediate response provided by Pyranet, the downtime to Cushion Prints network was kept to an absolute minimum. This greatly reduced the impact a server failure had on the business to email, shared folders and business processes and ensured that the staff were able to continue working at full potential. The server has subsequently been fixed and integrated seamlessly back into the network.
